American Legion Centennial Post 1976 is a dedicated community organization based in Aurora, Colorado. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for America’s veterans, their families, active military, and our local community through a commitment to mutual helpfulness. We are passionate about supporting our veterans by offering resources, assistance, and a welcoming space for them to connect and gather. In addition, we actively engage with the Aurora community through various events and initiatives, helping to strengthen the bonds between veterans and their neighbors. In 1919, The American Legion was founded on four pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth, Each of these pillars encompasses a variety of programs that benefit our nation’s veterans, its service members, their families, the youth of America and ordinary citizens. These programs make a difference in hundreds of thousands of lives each year. It’s who we are and what we do.
